DianSheng 5x5 (Magnetic)

Out of the box this cube is a bit dry and sandy, but once lubed up it’s a great turner and I find the magnets are a perfect strength (personally). However, mine has awful spring noise that no amount of loosening or lubing can fix! Personally it really irritates me during a solve so I only really use it with noise cancelling headphones on. Good fast cube though and has become my backup 5x5.

Purchased with its sibling 6x6 and 7x7 which bother feel like the other, this Diansheng 5x5 M however doesn’t feel ideal out of the box, scratchy and slow. I’m very much a beginner at 5x5 and I’m close to sub 7 min solves, but that’s after over lubing (rookie mistake) cleaning, loosening, cleaning again, loosening more and a single drop of lube. Wish I could be looser still with stronger magnets maybe. Loosened 1&1/2 turns of each screw. Where is a Moyu RS5M when you want one, lol!
