2×2 Beginner Method

This method is designed for complete beginners who have never solved a 2×2 cube before. It breaks the solve into simple, logical steps so you can understand how the cube works, rather than relying on lots of memorisation.

What Is the 2×2 Beginner Method?

The 2×2 cube only has corner pieces, which makes it simpler than a 3×3. The beginner method focuses on solving one layer first, then finishing the last layer using two basic algorithms.

You will solve the cube in four main stages: understanding the cube, building the first layer, orienting the last layer (OLL), and permuting the last layer (PLL).
